Double Success for Swinton’s Restaurants as Samuel’s Gains Three Rosettes
Launched in July 2017, The Terrace Restaurant features a theatre kitchen where Head Chef Chris McPhee and his team create globally inspired small plates and sharing boards, served alongside fresh salads topped with meat or fish cooked on the Josper grill. The menu has been carefully curated to showcase local produce from the estate’s 4-acre walled garden and surrounding area, with over 60 varieties of fruit and vegetables on offer.
Head Chef Chris McPhee commented, “we are thrilled to gain our first AA rosette so soon after opening. The Terrace is an amazing space and I’m fortunate to work with a talented team and exceptional fresh produce. We look forward to building on our success in the coming months.”
There was further success for Swinton Park’s fine dining restaurant, Samuel’s, which was awarded a coveted three AA rosettes in recognition of consistent excellence namely in its selection and treatment of the finest ingredients, well-judged flavour combinations, intuitive service and outstanding wine list.
The accolades were awarded following an impromptu inspection that assessed every aspect of each restaurant’s dining experience.
The Terrace Restaurant & Bar is open to hotel residents and non-residents Monday – Friday 10am-11pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-11pm. Samuel’s Restaurant is open to hotel residents and non-residents for Sunday Lunch 12.30-2pm and dinner Wednesday – Sunday 7pm-9.30pm.
